为助孩子了解端午节的传统习俗，感受传统节日的氛围，培养孩子对中国传统文化的兴趣，CIEO 旗下幼儿园及培训学校举办了端午节庆祝活动。“闹端午”、“舞端午”、“亲手包粽子”、“品尝粽子”……孩子们通过实际操作，亲身体验，进一步了解了中国的传统节日端午节。

红豆，绿豆，糯米，粽叶……了解完各种食材的名字，广州市天河区加拿达少儿英文培训中心——东山校区的外教和孩子们齐齐学包粽子。包粽子能手Moises老师温馨提醒小朋友们，糯米和豆子需要提前泡好才会更美味哦！经过一个多小时的努力，小手们的粽子终于包得又好又结实！

5月26日下午，广州市番禺区雅居乐加拿达中英文幼儿园“飘香端午节，欢乐粽动员”亲子活动室里，外教、家长和孩子们三三两两围坐在一起，时而粽叶舞动，时而细绳穿梭，时而糯米卷成漏斗状，时而又散落一桌。“包粽子时，粽叶面朝上，包时比普通的粽子多卷一圈，装好米后上端要做成三角形的形状才可将粽叶翻盖下来……”，在一次次的尝试中，小朋友们的粽子初见雏形。

5月27日，广州番禺区石楼镇亚运城加拿达幼儿园开展“快乐端午粽飘香”活动。老师讲述爱国诗人屈原的故事，帮助孩子们了解端午节的来历、意义及风俗习惯，认识包粽子所需的棕叶、糯米、黑芝麻馅料、五花肉等材料。家长们也给孩子们演示了包粽子的方法，孩子们听得津津有味。最后，在孩子们辛勤的劳动下，一个个形态各异，憨态可掬的粽子跃然桌上。

东莞南城加美幼儿园将月家庭日主题活动融入中国传统节日中，组织家长小朋友们欢聚一堂，共度佳节！孩子们表演完欢快的开场舞，又和爸爸妈妈一起跳温馨的亲子操，玩旱地龙舟赛、四人三足、运粽子三个应节的趣味亲子游戏，品尝面点师精心准备的西点并动手包手工粽子。会包粽子的爷爷奶奶们细心演示如何折粽叶，一双双稚嫩的小手便忙碌地穿梭在一张张翠绿欲滴的粽叶间，现场节日氛围非常浓厚！(完)

Thick Dragon Boat Festival, Smile Zongzi

With the arrival of the Dragon Boat Festival, CIEO's kindergartens and training centers hosted dragon-boat festival celebrations to help kids understand the customs, feel the atmosphere and cultivating interest in traditional Chinese culture. For Dragon Boat our kids learned a lot about the festival through hands-on experience.

Red beans, green beans, sticky rice, reed leaves... After learning the names of various kinds of ingredients, foreign teachers and children from the Canadian International Kids’ English School - Dongshan learned how to make Zongzi.  Good Master Moises warmly reminded kids that the sticky rice and beans need to be pre-brewed to be more delicious! After more than an hour of small hands’ effort, the Zongzi were finally wrapped up and strong!

On May 26, an activity was held in the parent-child activity room at Canadian International Kindergarten - Agile (CKE-A). Teachers, parents and kids sat together to make Zongzi, with leaves dancing, string rolling up funnels, and glutinous rice scattered on table. "When making Zongzi, the leaves face up. Pack the rice with more at the upper end to make a triangle to be able to wrap the leaf..." Through trial and error, more Zongzi was beginning to take shape.

On May 27, an activity was carried out at Canadian Bilingual Kindergarten - Asian Games Town (CKE-AGT). Teachers told the story of the patriotic poet Yuan Qu and explained the significance of the customs and habits, to help the children understand the origins of the Dragon Boat Festival. Parents also help children make Zongzi with black sesame and streaky pork stuffing ultimately producing various forms of Zongzi through hard work.

Canadian International Kindergarten - CanAm (CKE-CA) organized parents and children together for the holiday, incorporating the theme of this month's family day into the festival. After having finished their performances in the opening dance, the students did exercises with their parents, playing family games with waving dragons, three-legged races, and Zongzi carrying. After tasting cakes, children carefully prepared Zongzi by hand. A grandfather and grandmother carefully demonstrated how to fold the reed leaves.

The atmosphere of this festival was very strong!
