Oral English Show- CIEO’s 13th Annual Maple Leaf Cup

    2017年5月6日，CIEO在天河区科贸园会议厅举办了第13届“枫叶杯”幼儿英文口语大赛总决赛。“枫叶杯”幼儿英文口语大赛给孩子们提供了一个富有竞争性和趣味性的平台，让孩子们有机会展示对英语语言的理解，并且享受参赛的过程。来自CIEO旗下12所幼儿园（广东）共28名选手，经过园内层层选拔与激烈角逐，最终入围机构总决赛。CIEO英文教学副总监Mark、学前教育总监Brain、国际学校校长Lorianne等领导担任大赛评委，CIEO董事长Winnie亲临现场观看比赛。

The finals of Canadian International Educational Organization’s (CIEO) 13th Annual Kindergarten Maple Leaf Cup was held this past May 6,   at the Science and Trade Park Conference Room in Guangzhou’s Tianhe district. This competition provides children an interesting, competitive platform providing an opportunity to share their understanding as they enjoy the process of learning the English language. A total of 28 competitors, from 12 CIEO kindergartens, qualified after fierce preliminary competitions to appear in the final round. Mark Emptage, Vice Director of English Education and Lorianne Tenove, principal of Canadian International School of Guanghzou, led a panel of judges while Winnie Chen, President of CIEO, was also in attendance.

    本次大赛沿袭了“枫叶杯”的一贯赛制，参赛选手按小班组、中班组及大班组分别用英文进行自我介绍、才艺表演和现场问答。为了展示最佳风采，选手们各出奇招：乐队表演嗨翻全场，奇幻魔法精彩绝妙，书法作品引人入胜，篮球秀技活力四射……选手们自信的现场表现和标准的英语口语表达，让观众席不时爆发出雷鸣般掌声，足见观众对选手们的喜爱与赞赏。

Following a standardized format for the Maple Leaf Cup, competitors introduced themselves in English before performing their program followed by a short Q&A. The competition was arranged by ages into Small, Middle and Big class groupings. Competitors showed us their best as our entrants each had their own surprising flare including a band performance, magic show, calligraphy, and basketball demonstration.  Our competitors all showed up with confidence and their displays of oral English proficiency brought rousing applause from the audience, showing the audience’s appreciation for their efforts and talents.
